Study On Evaluating The Foreign Investment Environment Of Modern Service Industry In China

In developed countries, modern service industry has become the part of the economy which grows the fastest and a new economy growth point. There is great disparity between the level of different kinds of service industries of China and the advanced one of the world at present. The amount of FDI of our modern service industry lagged far behind the world and it has been the "bottle-neck" of restricting economy growth. The lag of modern service industry has restricted accumulation and effective use of capital, growth of manpower capital, improvement of technology innovation ability, and effective development of the market. Therefore, it is necessary to do research on the foreign investment environment of modern service industry of China . This research can gain the following points. Firstly, it can evaluate the status of the foreign investment environment of modern service industry of China and reflect the whole condition of the investment environment of modern service industry. Secondly, it can illustrate the interior structure of the environment, providing information for the government, business enterprise...etc.This research on evaluating regional investment environment for modern service industry is carried out as follows: Firstly, to clearly define some crucial concepts and put forward the theoretical and practical basis fox the whole research and point out the limitation and shortage of the current researches to introduce the importance of this research. Secondly, based on the sorts of investment environment and the particular characteristics of modern service industry and its environment and the evaluating principle requirement, analyze the factors which influence the environment. Thirdly, choose some appropriate index to build up into the evaluating system and choose the right method. Fourthly, set 11 provinces and cities in the east area in China which keep ahead in the import of FDI for example to show rationality of the evaluating system in front. Lastly, put forward some relative policies.The research results are presented as follows: (1) Construct an evaluating system of foreign investment environment for modern service industry. It is divided into regional environment factor subsystem and industry-specific factor subsystem with the former as the basis and the latter as the key and determinant for the whole investment environment for modern service industry. (2)The industry-specific factor has a crucial influence on the whole investment environment. The econometric result basically conforms to the fact and has of a certain instructive significance.
