Today,industry cluster has become a worldwide economic phenomenon .It attracted theattention of many countries and regions governments. In addition to the manufacturing and hightechindustries, tourism industry as the third leading industry has emerged in clustereddevelopmenttrend. The industry cluster can achieve tourism resources effective integration andenterprise's competition and cooperation, enhance the tourism competitiveness. This article inthis context researched tourism industry cluster and competitiveness. It hope for providing a newresearch perspective to the development of Hebei tourism industry.With the reference to the correlation theory of regional economics, industry economics,econometrics, economic statistics and tourism economics, the paper studied Hebei tourismindustry cluster and competitiveness using the combination method of the standardized analysisand empirical analysis, quantitative analysis and qualitative.In addition to introduction and conclusion, this paper is divided into five parts:PartI: Researched general theory of tourism industry cluster and competition . First,makereference to industry cluster definition and in the light of the tourism industry its owncharacteristics, the article defined the tourism industry cluster connotation. Second,Itsummarized the uniqueness of tourism industry cluster, mode of formation and developingprocess Third, it analysised the general theory of tourism industry competition, research statusand influence factor model. Finally, it pointed out the function of industry cluster to promote tothe tourism industry competition.Part II: Studied the development of the Hebei tourism industry cluster. First,it analysised thecurrent status of Hebei tourism industry cluster. Second,it studied the feasibility of the tourismindustry cluster. Finally, it carried on the SWOT analysis to the Hebei tourism industry cluster.Part III: Made a empirical study of Hebei tourism industry competitiveness. It constructedevaluation index system of tourism industry competitiveness and used factor analysis,information entropy value law , cluster analysis for empirical studied. It analysised the studiedconclusion and pointed out the status of tourism industry competitiveness throughout China.Part IV: Made a quantitative study of the relationships between the industry clusters andtourism industry competition. In the quantitative analysis process, From the back to returnanalysis, it found that twos exist an obvious line form relation. It verified the accuracy ofqualitative analysis from the angle of the quantitative research.Partâ…¤: It raised measures and suggestions of using industrial clusters to enhance thecompetition of the tourism.
