Domestic port construction industry has long been a basic by China Harbour Engineering (Group) Corporation ("CHEC") monopoly. However, in recent years, with the launching of separating government from enterprises, some enterprises directly under the SAC as in the past no longer as strict restrictions on their business in their own industries, and the beginning of interference of other industries. Such as the well-known China Metallurgical Group, China Huadian Engineering Co. Ltd., Huaneng Power International Inc, such as electricity, metallurgy industry giants began to get involved in port construction industry. Port construction, and to reduce costs, the total project gradually from the original package, to interface from the responsibility of building management, in the form of individual sub-projects, this gave the industry outside the enterprises more opportunities and lower the entry The threshold. CHEC in the lead position in the industry is in imminent danger, if we do not take appropriate measures, most likely in a decade on an equal footing with other large enterprises.In this paper, the use of strategic management theory and analysis methods for port construction industry and external factors in the CHEC's internal analysis of the situation, the reference to domestic and international port construction and planning, systems analysis, evaluation CHEC's port projects strategic choice and design. SWOT analysis on the use of company internal and external business environment analysis, the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and risks to conduct a comprehensive analysis and research, target consumer groups, product positioning, the proposed pricing, marketing channels and strategies to give strategic direction to the company guidance.The significance of this paper is to use the business strategy and analysis tools learned in the classroom, analysis CHEC, hope to port operations to the company to strategic guidance, the company's market, to make the road broader and broader.
