The Research On Economical And Intensive Utilization Of Rural Settlement Land

Along with accelerated process of urbanization and increasing demand for urban construction land,a large number of arable lands are lost.At the same time,for a great deal of agricultural lands occupied by housing,plus increasing area of rural settlements and the issue of distribution of scattered,the problem between people and land is growing.In this case, studying intensive land-use of rural settlements for transformation from extensive land-use is not only a requirement to achieve urbanization,but also an inevitable choice for economic development and communities' modernization in rural areas.Influenced by topography of land,socio-economic conditions,and national habits and so on,rural settlements in hilly areas of south-west are different from other places' in structure and spatial distribution.Because of insufficient reasonable planning and management,the improvement of peasants' living standard,rural economy development and agricultural modernization are constrained by loosing land settlement system,large per capita land-use, and poor infrastructures.Therefore,it is essential to enhance the level of the intensive land-use with scientific plans and management,in order to provide a theoretical basis in carrying out rural development in the new period,and to provide practical guidance for rural economic development,so as to promote the agricultural development and improve the efficiency of rural land use.Chongqing Municipality and its municipal districts and counties - a typical area is the researched region in this paper.And the rural settlements in this region are the studied sites. Then,the area change of rural settlements land in Chongqing from 1999-2007 and a number of problems showed in land using of Chongqing rural settlements are studied.On this basis, the change of spatial distribution and landscape of Chongqing rural settlements over the past 20 years are analyzed by Fragstats3.3 and Arcgis.At the same time,the status quo and issues of the rural residential land-use are analyzed through combining relevant theories and qualitative and quantitative methods.Moreover,the comprehensive evaluation indicator system of economically and intensified Utilization of Rural Settlement Land and the evaluation indicator system of land economically and intensified Utilization of Rural Settlement Land(for districts and counties) are established for a preliminary exploration,and a preliminary exploration for the economical and intensive land-use in Chongqing is conducted Based on the analysis about the problems within rural residential intensive land-use in Chongqing,the source of potential and targets forecasting in the intensive land-use are studied in this part.Then it proposes guarantee measures from four aspects to promote the intensive land-use in Chongqing.At last,a summary of the entire paper is made, that the rural residential intensive land-use in Chongqing is developed in a bad way,and there is no significant correlation between rural residential intensive land-use with economic development level.There is a certain practical experience in this paper,it can ease the contradiction between supply and demand of land for urban and rural construction,and it made a great contribution to research on intensive and economical land use of rural settlements.
