A Study On Spatiotemporal Changes Of Urban Constructive Land And Their Driving Forces In Chongqing

Urban constructive land is the carrier that cities carry out their economic and social activities.With the speeding-up of urbanization,the demand of the constructive land use increased significantly.Chongqing is a western city that was put under the direct jurisdiction of the central government,compared with Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai,the level of urbanization is lower.The urbanization of Chongqing will develop more rapidly,so the arable land is engrossed unavoidably.Land resources are limited and cultivated land is significant to provision plentiful,we must ensure there is enough cultivated land to yield grain in Chongqing,so in advancement of speeding up Chongqing urbanization,it laces with more restraint supplies of urban constructive land compared to the nation,safeguarding the urban constructive land supplies becomes the key in Chongqing urban development.Carrying out the research on spatiotemporal changes of urban constructive land and their driving forces in Chongqing,seeking the relationship between urban constructive land and social and economic driving forces,summing up the laws between social and economic development and land-use can guide the urban constructive land's layout reasonably and protect arable land at the same time,control the urban constructive land non-rational expansion and realize the sustainable development of regional society,economy and ecology.In this study,"Driving force-State-Response"(DSR) framework model was introduced to research the spatiotemporal changes state,driving forces and response measures of urban constructive land in Chongqing,to reveal the mechanism of urban constructive land expansion.This paper includes seven parts: PartⅠ,preface.It expatiates the research background and significance,research progress at home and abroad,research contents,research methods and technical routes;PartⅡ,the DSR research framework of urban constructive land use.It introduces the application of DSR model,takes the spatiotemporal change states,driving forces and response measures of urban constructive land use in DSR model to build the DSR research model of urban constructive land in Chongqing;PartⅢ,the message of the study area.Briefly introduced the study area's natural and geographical characteristics,economic and social conditions and land use,etc.:P artⅣ,the analysis on spatiotemporal changes of urban constructive land's state in Chongqing.Two sites that time and space expansion of urban constructive land are analyzed;PartⅤ,the driving forces of urban constructive land changes.The driving forces are divided into natural factors,social factors and economic factors,this study use correlation analysis to research driving factors' impaction on urban constructive land change,then build the index system of driving forces for urban constructive land change,and then use the multiple stepwise regression analysis to research the main factors that driving urban constructive land change in Chongqing and its "one hour economic circle and two wings",revealed the driving mechanism.PartⅥ,the response measures to stimulate the rational use of urban constructive land.Based on the analysis of PartⅣand PartⅤ,this part put forward some response suggestions to stimulate urban constructive land rational use.PartⅦ,conclusions and discussion,the main conclusions of this study are Summarized and the problems that need to further improve are discussed.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1) Urban constructive land was in the state of continuous expansion in Chongqing from 1997 to 2007, caused the proportion of urban constructive land's area to built-up land's area rise,but the growth rate of urban constructive is uneven and have regional differences.During 1998-2003,urban constructive land expanded slowly,but after 2003,it expanded more rapidly.The districts that urban constructive land's area increased most are Yubei,Hechuan,Shapingba and Banan and the districts that expansion rate of urban constructive land is higher than average are Shuangqiao,Hechuan,Jiangbei,Shapingba,Yubei,Banan, Changshou,Tongnan,Tongliang,Yongchuan,Dazu,Bishan,Xiushan and Wanzhou.The urban constructive land expansion is mainly concentrated in one hour economic circle of Chongqing.(2) The Spatiotemporal Changes of urban constructive land in Chongqing was the result of natural factors,social factors and economic factors comprehensive impact,the main driving factors of urban constructive land expansion were urban population,per capital GDP and second and third industrial value per urban constructive land,urban population and per capital GDP showed positive correlation with urban constructive land,second and third industrial value per urban constructive land showed negative correlation with it,this results demonstrated that urbanization and the raising of resident living standards promoted urban construction laud expansion greatly,but intensive use of urban land can alleviate the trend.In "one hour economic circle",the raising of resident living standards is the main driving force of its urban constructive land expansion;But in northeast of Chongqing,urbanization,industrial restructuring and the raising of resident living standards are the main driving forces that its urban constructive land expansion, their comprehensive impaction promoted the urban constructive land expansion;In southeast of Chongqing, urbanization was the main driving force of its urban constructive land expansion.Different region had different main driving mechanism.(3) Land resources are limited and cultivated land is significant to provision plentiful,so we must ensure there is enough cultivated land to yield grain in Chongqing.In order to achieve the valuable land resources efficient,economical and intensive use,based on the state and driving forces of urban constructive land change,we put forward some countermeasures and suggestions to promote the urban constructive land rational use,such as guiding economic development reasonably and optimizing the industrial layout to promote land use intensively;building urban system to guide the rational growth of urban constructive land at different levels;mining the stock constructive land resources' potential to promote sustainable use;strengthening the planning and management to promote land use scientific; perfecting land management system to ensure intensive land use.
