Risk Assessment Of Supplier Selection Of Enterprises In Consideration Of Supply Chain

In accordance with economic development, a chain network which integrates material flow, information flow and capital flow, consisting of suppliers, manufacturers, distributers, retailers and users emerges between lots of enterprises. The first step of establishing such a supply chain, for the enterprises in it, is to choose proper suppliers. However, there is great deal of risk inside the chain and from the suppliers, in the process of choosing suppliers and cooperating with them. It exerts a tremendous influence on cooperative partner relationship in the chain. Therefore, it is of great significance for efficiency promotion of the whole supply chain to choose suppliers correctly and assess the risk in the choosing process effectively.Based on elaborating the related theories on risk management in supply chain and on cooperative partner selection, this paper analyzes the four types of suppliers, discusses the identification of the risky factors in supplier selection in consideration of supply chain, and reveals three kinds of risk in supplier selection. Those are environmental risk, cooperation risk and ability risk. Moreover, on the foundation of studying the related key factors which bring about risks, the paper has constructed, by the method of combining qualitative indices and quantitative indices, a risk assessment index system of supplier selection, and furthermore, by wedding grey theory to traditional analytic hierarchy process, it has built the model of grey analytic hierarchy process and defined the weights of risk indices in supplier selection. On that basis, the paper generally assesses the risks of different suppliers according to fuzzy synthesis assessment method. According to the principle of combining theoretical analysis and case analysis together, the paper expounds and proofs the validity and practicability of this approach with case analysis as well. Last but not least, the paper has puts forward some specific corresponding measures against the above-mentioned different risks to provide enterprises with operable tactics for effectively avoiding and reducing risks of supplier selection.To some extent, the achievement of the paper is of guiding significance for enterprises to choose suppliers and build steady long-term partner relationship with them. The research of this paper can help enterprises investigate the risk indices in choosing suppliers comprehensively and systematically, pick suppliers properly and prevent risks effectively, so as to promote efficiency of the whole supply chain.
