With the development of service industry, the global industry experiences with the transition from a manufacturing economy to a service industry. Service outsourcing as a new form of international industrial upgrading, by virtue of its ability to effectively reduce costs, enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, and optimize resource allocation, gradually becomes the new management enterprise strategie Then, service outsourcing vendor selection has also become the focus of the contracting companies. Now an increasing number of potential suppliers could be selected by these companies, but by resources and environment factors, the capacity of suppliers varies. There are some difficulties for the contracting companies to choose outsourcing provider. Therefore doing research on service outsourcing supplier selection will make the enterprises more effectively to select supplier and will make great significance in the society.The paper starts with the concept of service outsourcing based on the method of supplier selection and service outsourcing related theory, drawing on Saaty’s Analytic Hierarchy Process and Grey Theory of Deng julong. Moreover, combining with the practical experience of service outsourcing and related statistics, this paper tries to research and analyze the service outsourcing supplier selection problem more systematicly and in-depthly.In this paper, several aspects of research works have been completed as following:Firstly, the related concepts of service outsourcing are analysised and defined in this paper. In order to research service outsourcing vendor selection problem, the related theory of service outsourcing are detailed analysised. On the basis of the concept of service outsourcing definition, the service outsourcing are classified and analyzed.Secondly, outsourcing provider selection process and the criteria system are established. They are the premise of the supplier selection methods. Through the analysis of existing literatures and "goodness" evaluation, we can obtain to identify and determine the method of criterias.Thirdly, a method for evaluating suppliers is proposed. With the regard to the fuzzy and incomplete of group decision for the criteria evaluation, this paper presents the service outsourcing supplier selection method based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and grey relational analysis. First of all, decision makers should rate the suppliers in a pairwise comparisons matrix format for each individual criteria. Next, decision makers should identify the preference of criteria in comparison with each other in order to find the weight of criteria. Finally,the order of suppliers is obtained combining grey relational analysis.Fourth, the application research of the method proposed in this thesis is given. Through the example of the X bank service outsourcing supplier selection problem, the practicability and reasonability of the method are verified.This paper presents the service outsourcing supplier selection method based on FAHP and grey relational analysis.This approach could handle complex issue including both complete and imcomplete information and overcome some limitation and drawback of the traditional grey relational analysis. By the end of this paper, the main research results and conclusions, the major contribution and limitations as well as the requiring work for further research are summarized.
