| The exhibition industry of Shanghai has developed a lot from small&weak to big&strong along with the change of pattern of economy development and upgrade of structure of city industry since the reform and open policy carried out in 1978.What is more, it has formed certain industry scale and made a great contribution to the development of Shanghai economy. Shanghai has grown into Convention and Exhibition center city in China at the same time. And Shanghai exhibition industry moves toward the direction of international,brand,professional,market and information trend at a unprecedented speed in situation just as following: the great opportunity of 2010 Shanghai Expo is approaching ,transition period of entering World Trade Organization is over and the whole environment is more open after the signing & executing of CEPA. Meanwhile, many problems just like shortage of professional elites,lack of competence of exhibition enterprises ,will show themselves which will be an obstacle to the continuous development of Shanghai exhibition economy.It is the very time to make a further research on the development history of Shanghai exhibition industry in front of all kinds of opportunities,challenges,strengths and weaknesses. This thesis analyzes the data of 30 years completely with the purpose of finding out objective development rules of Shanghai exhibition industry. It begins from the analysis of the present situation of Shanghai exhibition industry, then demonstrates four kinds of distribution structure including time distribution,area distribution,grade distribution and industry distribution, and generalizes the characteristics of development of Shanghai exhibition industry at last. Meanwhile, Suggestion on how to fulfill healthy development is given out based on analysis on problems and influential factors in the process of development.This paper includes five parts as following: Chapter 1:Introduction.It mainly includes discussing topic and study purpose, recollection about theory on exhibition industry at home and abroad, research method and study content which are prepared for further study in theory and path of study. Chapter 2: General review of the development process of Shanghai exhibition industry. It introduces the development history of Shanghai exhibition industry briefly,divides the development process into three stages and summarizes characteristics each stage. Chapter 3: The analysis of Shanghai exhibition industry's features and institutional improvement. It describes the development and change of Shanghai exhibition industry for 30 years and generalizes its development characteristics in view of time,area,grade and industry and describes briefly the benefits Shanghai exhibition industry brings and the situation of related institutional improvement at present. Chapter 4:The problems and influential factors of the development of Shanghai exhibition industry. It carries out the problems lie in the development process of Shanghai exhibition industry as well as gives a thorough analysis on related influential factors. Chapter 5: Suggestion and prospects. This chapter raises the solutions and recommendations to the problems, and points out the shortcomings of the study. |
