The Research Of Urban System Development Of Urumqi Metropolitan

Metropolitan area is the high-level patterns of the urban space structure, and the city developed product. The construction of Urumqi Metropolitan area, is not only can alleviate the space constraints of urban development, but also can driven the small and medium-sized cities through the capacity of the first cities, promote the development of the northern slope of Tianshan mountains economic belt and Xinjiang regional economy. The metropolitan area is in the period of embryonic development, having not obvious circle function, not enough coordination or cooperation among members, lacking of competitive advantage. So it is necessary to advance its rational planning and guidance. In this paper, we base on the theory of the space interaction, define the scope of the Urumqi metropolitan urban through the field strength and gravity model, do the research on the size, industry functions and space structural problems of metropolitan area. This article holds that the development of Urumqi Metropolitan centers can not only to enhance the quality of the urban population size, promote medium-sized cities to big cities, consolidate and develop small cities, but also to link its own industrial advantages to division, strengthen the integrated functions of central cities, enhance the function of vice-central cities, speed up the development of small cities. In addition, the space development of metropolitan area is at the stage of center city polarization. We should adhere to the principle of "one center, two sub-centers, three main shafts, four groups", make it to become the radial single-core circle structure.
