As a bridge between government and enterprises,the union of enterprises,the service inter-agency,trade association plays an important role in all aspects of economy and public administration. When our country began to reform and open up, with the economic system change and the decentralization of government functions, trade association has the opportunity to test their abilities. Since our country joined the WTO, the development space of trade association is expanded, the function in foreign trade development appears day by day. With the increasingly economy globalization, more and more trade associations are becoming the powerful tool in influencing the country's foreign trade policy and safeguarding the interests of local enterprises. Trade association takes a more and more important role in the market economy and international trade.Our country's trade association has took a certain role in our country's economic construction, social development, and particularly the growth of enterprise, however, due to many reasons such as a late start, the implementation of its functions can not be very satisfactory. There are still many problems and shortcomings needs to reform and improve deeply. These problems and function shorts affect their normal functions'carrying out, especially in the foreign trade. First, through analysis of the functions of trade associations, the paper focuses on finding the existed problem and our country's function deficiency, and then deeply analyzes whatever function our country's trade association should take in the international trade. At the last part of the paper, in facing of present complex international trade environment, the paper carries out a more comprehensive and in-depth study on how to develop and improve the functions of trade associations, and its role in promoting foreign trade.
