Whether the organizational structure is scientific and rational or not is one of main component factors of Commercial Banks' Core Competitiveness. The reform of system and mechanism of commercial banks in China is gradually deepening and enhancing. As an important aspect of corporation administration improvement, the so-called "multi-divisional structure" model of operation and management is becoming popular in practice, with increasing focus. The development of this trend also gets positive appraisal and affirmative channeling from the governmental surveillance department.Generally speaking, the multi-divisional structure reforms of domestic commercial banks are on a trial stage. As the first to implement this kind of reform comprehensively among other local banks, M Bank has no any previous successful case to follow, and will definitely meet so many issues and challenges during the execution period. The main research contents of the thesis are as follows:1. Based on the basic theory of the organizational structure of commercial banks, it describes the theory path of development and evolution of commercial banks' organizational structure; analyses and researches the development situation of foreign commercial banks organizational structure; explore the procession of foreign commercial banks' multi-divisional structure reform; and summarizes the experience and enlightenment of foreign Commercial Banks' multi-divisional structure reform from the aspects of organizational structure buildup, necessary elements of organization restructuring.2. As the case of M Bank, this article analyses the disadvantages of M Bank's organizational structure before reform; using empirical study approach, it revealed the background and motivation of M Bank's multi-divisional structure reform from the aspects of external market environment, business management strategy, business transition pressure, internal operation conditions etc.3. Combined with the process of multi-divisional structure reform of M bank, this article introduces the current reform situation of M Bank's multi-divisional structure reform. From the aspects of comprehensive adaptability, risk management system construction, performance evaluation system construction, as well as IT construction of M bank, it deeply analyses the problems and their causes during M Bank's multi-divisional structure reform.4. Through comparing the reform experience of foreign commercial banks in organizational structure reform and the problems during the process of multi-divisional structure reform of M bank, this article provides some pertinent measures for the Reform Management of M Bank's multi-divisional structure reform.The research achievements in this article have some reference significance for China domestic banking reform of multi-divisional structure.
