| The intensive competition has been increasing due to the enormous change of institutional environment which respond to customer's requirement for fewer quantity and more variety. In recent years, Lean Production popularizes has been popular worldwide. The basic idea of Lean Production is to eliminate any waste in production process and realize Just-In-Time production. It demands enterprise to produce the necessary products at the necessary time and quantity and meet the requirement of customer.Value Stream Mapping is the starting point to achieve lean production. Via drawing the current value stream map, production managers can find the problems in the production process. With lean production techniques, they can improve the process effectively and design the future value stream map. In our research, after studying the theory of lean production value stream management, we describe how to do value stream mapping. Finally, we analyze the value stream management project introduced in Feipeng Company, and show how this project can help them decrease cost, shorten production lead time, as a result, the competitiveness of Feipeng Company is increased. |
