Study On The Assessment Framework For Green Port

Currently, human society is facing double threats--energy crisis and environment deterioration. In this situation, sustainable development is the common purpose of people all over the world. As a kind of infrastructure which consume aboundant energy and pollute the environment, Ports now use the Green Port development strategy to realize the sustainable development, however,"What's a Green Port?"and"How to build a Green Port?"Many people have no idea about these two questions. So in order to tackle these problems, this thesis has conducted some necessary research about Green Port assessment framework based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.This thesis first looks back the development history of modern port, analysises the reason for the appearance of Green Port, explains the internal meaning of a Green Port, introduces the updated Green Port science and technologies, than, it creates a Green Port assessment framework based on the CASBEE and GOBAS by using the comparative study mothodlogy, and it also gives the weight of all indicators by using the AHP model. Finally, in order to validate the feasibility and practicability of this assessment framework, this thesis conducts a case study of Ningbo port, and the result demonstrates that this framework is practical and applicable.With the help of this assessment framework, port operators can find the weakness in the environment protection. So this framework is helpful to construct a Green and sustainable port.
