The "golden week" system was reformed by the State Council at the end of 2007.The new "National Festival and Memorial Day Holiday Approches " and "Workers Paid Annual Leave Regulations" were announced on Dec.16th last year.In Jan.1st of this year,the new holiday system was put into effect.What impacts will be brought to tourism consumer behavior by the change of holiday system,and then to holiday travel trends? How do government departments and tourism enterprises deal with these new changes? These are serious problems to be solved. The original intention of this paper is hoped to find out the major aspects which influence tourist behavior,grasp the trend of the development of our country's holiday tourism and put forward some specific recommendations and countermeasures.Beginning with the basic research of holiday system and tourism consumption,we firstly studied the relationship between them.In addition,this paper teased relevant theories used by the paper,and then a research model on the relationship between holiday system and tourism consumption was built.By an empirical research on the city of Hangzhou, this paper analyses the specific impacts on tourism consumer behavior brought by the changes of holiday system.This paper can be divided into four parts:In chapter one,the paper pointed out the background and significance of this topics and reviewed relevant researches at home and abroad.Meanwhile,some concept,such as holiday,system,were defined. The second chapter of this paper did some basic researches on holiday system and tourism consumption.First of all,it analysed the relationship between them and the characteristics of concentration of holiday tourist spending.And then this paper has done a comprehensive explanation to the related theory.Finally,a research model on the relationship between holiday system and tourism consumption was built in this chapter.In chapter three,through an empirical research on holiday tourism spending of Hangzhou with the adoption of the new holiday system,we concluded the holiday system had some impacts on tourism consumer behavior,and some trends of the development holiday travel were put forward at the new background.The last part of the paper begins with the development trends of holiday tourism.Some specific recommendations and countermeasures were put forward,such as how to complete the holiday system and administrative functions,how the government of the tourism destination make a good job of holiday tourism and how the tourism enterprises do better in he tourism business.
