Study On The Chinese Agricultural Cluster

Since the reform and opening up, China's social environment has changed dramatically, and the people's living standards improve dramatically. With the long-term development of urban economy, however, the agriculture-based county economy develops very slowly, and the agricultural products' market competitiveness is bad, agriculture has short industrial chain and low economic efficiency. When we study the process of agricultural industrialization, we found that as a new form of industrial organization the agricultural industry cluster can make many agricultural-related enterprises and institutions gathered to a certain geographical space. It can form the scale advantages and improve the agricultural industrialization. Based on the theory and empirical analysis of agricultural industry cluster, this paper presents the development of agriculture cluster in the county region is a feasible way to solve Sannong problems and to enhance the economic vitality. This paper is divided into four parts:At first, expounding the definitions, characteristics of county economy and agriculture cluster, as well as the research status of home and abroad. Analysing the development status of our county economy and agricultural in present. Preliminary explored the feasibility of developing agricultural clusters to foster county economy.Secondly, using the SCP analytical framework to analyse the competitive of the agricultural clusters. Putting forward the agricultural cluster has the advantages of integrating regional factors, absorption and digestion of foreign elements and the formation of the self-reinforcing mechanism. It can promote the development of county economy.Third, through introducing the citrus industry cluster in Shimen County of Hunan Province, and analyzing the impact of the citrus industry cluster to Shimen's agriculture, industry and urbanization, point out agricultural clusters can promote the development of county economic in fact. The Shimen's citrus cluster can promote the development, however, it still have many problems.Fourth, doing the normative analysis after the empirical analysis. In this paper, there are some development policy recommendations about county agricultural on formulate industrial policy, supportting financial and fiscal, construction of related facilities and cultivate the growth mechanism of clusters.
