Telematics is called the third revolution of automobile industry which is the technical fusion of automobile,communication and IT. Telematics industry has developed for ten years throughout the world, it becomes well-rounded. However, Telematics is just budding in China. With the development of automobile industry, electronical product and communication techniques, the market of Telematics is spewing in China. How to develop the Telematics market in China, to copy onStar? or to repeat the mode of G-Book? It is a challenge for us. In this paper, we will try to find a way for the development of Telematics in China.Firstly, mature Telematics environment in other countries and the development history of Telematics in China are described. Then, competition environment is analyzed through PEST and SWOT method. And three possible commercial modes of Telematics in China are discussed, at the same time; advices are presented for the health development of Chinese Telematics industry.Finally, through the research on the Telematics industry in china, conclusions are draw that Telematics is the direction and it is growing up. But, experiments from the abroad should be used for reference, on the other hand, the domestic characters and consume concept of China are also should be considered. The Chinese Telematics industry mode, such as free services, PND and CMMB comes into being.
