The Analysis Of Agglomeration Mechanism Of The Modern Logistics Industry And The Research Of Government's Role

The management guru Peter Drucker once predicted that logistics industry is the black continent for every country to grow economy, and the last frontier for enterprises to reduce cost, and the virgin land to be cultured. With the rapid development of national economy, logistics is becoming more and more important. However, when compared with the developed countries, the logistics in our country develops much more slowly. In terms of constructing logistics gathering zone, a system of it has not yet come into being; what's more, the theory falls behind the practice. Actually, during the process of constructing logistics gathering zone, there exists a series of problems which need to be solved urgently. The key for government to develop logistics industry is to carry out macroeconomic control policy so as to bring its role of managing economy into full play and build a good logistics gathering zone.With the help of various theories such as economies of scale and scope theory, structural-functionalism and system theory etc, this essay explores the reasons for developing logistics gathering zone and discusses its conditions, processes and functions, In the mean time, this paper generalizes the typical mechanism of forming logistics gathering zone, according to the general principles. Besides, combining with practical research, this thesis analyzes the existent problems, and then, points out the main role the government should play during constructing and developing logistics gathering zone. At the end of this paper is an empirical survey done in Chuanhua Logistics Base in Hangzhou City.
