Land is the basic resources and the environment for the human production and existence, is the vector for the socio-economic development, all economic activities are directly or indirectly related to land. As the China's rapid economic development, coupled with a large population, and low per capita possession of land resources, land supply and demand has become increasingly serious, which put higher requirements for the land continued efficient use, and force the land use more economical, so as to play as much as possible the economic value of land and to achieve a reasonable land development and utilization.Liaoning Province is located in the northeast old industrial base, and in the BoHai Economic Circle, and with a rapid urbanization process. Because of extensive operations resulted the unreasonable land structure . So from the perspective of in terms of the protection of land resources, urban development and the rational allocation of urban land, or whether the mode of economic growth, urban land intensive use should be the subject of Liaoning Province to speed up the process of urbanization .So the evaluation of Liaoning Province urban land intensive use have a great significance.In this study, firstly at on the home and abroad based research, introduces the theoretical of urban land intensive use, and then analyzes the current situation in Liaoning Province and the impact factors of urban land intensive use, and on this basis establishes the potential evaluation index system of urban land intensive use in Liaoning Province, the index system including three objectives:land-intensive land use restrictions and development trend of the intensive use,17 evaluation factors, and then through the AHP method to determine the rating weight of indicators. Finally, calculates the composite index of urban land intensive use by a combination of factors in Liaoning Province, and the potential size of the intensive is divided into four grades, analyzes the classification results of the land intensive use of in Liaoning Province for the direction of mining the potential, and gives the corresponding measures.
