The Research On The Coordinated Development Between Logistics And Manufacturing In Jiang Su Province

In recent years, as the rapid development of manufacturing industries China has been among the big powers of manufacturing over the world. But compared with other developed countries, China's manufacturing industries are obviously not high value-added in industry chain, in which the lack of logistics services, and lack of interaction between manufacturing and logistics are the main reasons for this situation. Therefore, the study of the coordinated development between logistics and manufacturing is of important significance for both the upgrading of the manufacturing and the sustainable development of the whole socio-economic. As a power province both in manufacturing and economy, the solution to coordinated development between the logistics and manufacturing seems particularly important for Jiangsu Province.First, based on the theory of coordinated development this paper expounded the manifestations of coordinated development between logistics and manufacturing. Then on this basis, the paper analyzed the development status of logistics and manufacturing of their own, as well as the coordination status between them in Jiangsu Province.Then, DEA Method was used in the quantitative evaluation of coordination, the coordination status between logistics and manufacturing was analyzed in Jiangsu Province from 1998 to 2008, the result showed that the development of the two haven't achieve a coordinated level in these years. The lack of coordination is outstanding manifested in three aspects: first, the development of modern logistics is behind the modern manufacturing industry, thus it can't meet the requirements of rapidly developing modern manufacturing industry; second, the release of logistics from manufacturing is not enough, if manufacturing industry can cooperate better with the logistics industry it can create greater scale benefit; third, the input to the logistics industry in recent years is not suitable, the repeated construction of large-scale infrastructure is a waste of resources that can't bring income increase.At last, in response to this uncoordinated status explored some strategies including: from the logistics aspect proposed to build a modern logistics concepts, integrate and improve infrastructures, self-construction of logistics and so on; from the manufacturing aspect focused on the development of logistics outsourcing and building outsourcing management system, the application of advanced logistics technology and so on; from the joint development of logistics and manufacturing put forward strategies as government co-ordination, integration logistics, cluster-building and so on; from the aspect of logistics and manufacturing coordinating with other related systems, mainly proposed the green supply chain management strategy .
