Research On Measuring The Degree Of Information Collaboration In Supply Chain

Now, supply chain management has become an advanced management mode and method. Supply chain collaboration has an important position in the supply chain management, and it is the development direction and trend of future supply chain. Collaborative supply chain based on the information collaboration needs high quality information transmission and sharing. So, how to promote the information collaboration in supply chain is very meaningful for supply chain collaboration management.First, the paper describes the research status of supply chain collaboration management and supply chain information collaboration, and found that the research about the measurement of supply chain information coordination is relatively small and the research of measurement method needs to be launched and developed. Second, the paper systematically elaborates the related theory and knowledge of supply chain collaboration and supply chain information coordination. On the basis of depth studying and researching, the paper presents that information collaboration is an important protection mechanism of collaborative supply chain and it can identify weak links in information collaboration through measuring the degree of information coordination between supply chain nodes. As a result, the measurement can promote information collaboration in supply chain. Subsequently, according to the view of "collaboration degree" in Synergetics, the article puts forward the concept of information collaboration degree. Else, it fully explains the purposes and principles of measuring the degree of information coordination in supply chain. And then, the article deeply and utterly analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of measuring method in existence, and the factors affecting the degree of information coordination. Last, the paper proposed DICSC method based on the improvement and perfection of the DSCC method. DICSC method, including three indicators:information extension degree, information intensity degree and information quality degree, expands the scope of the measure on the information exchange, improves the measure of the kind of information and increases the information quality index. The information extension degree doesn't only take the horizontal depth of information exchange into account, but also take into account of vertical breadth of information exchange. The information intensity degree includes three main kinds of critical information:demand information, supply information (including inventory levels, production capacity and production planning) and transport information. Else, information quality degree measures the accuracy, the timeliness and the validity of information all which impact information quality in the supply chain collaboration. Finally, the measurement method is applied to the automotive industry supply chain through an empirical analysis. The measurement on the degree of Beijing-Benz supply chain information collaboration verifies the effectiveness and feasibility of the DICSC method.
