The "first document", sighed by the Central in 2010, pointed out that "targeted measures should be taken to solve problems of the new-generation migrant workers. " Employment is the basis of people for living. The job selection behavior of the new-generation migrant workers is closely related to their employment quality, and then have a direct influence on the process of urbanization. As the new forces of the migrant workers, the new-generation migrant workers have different group characteristics and life experiences from that of the first-generation migrant workers, of which led the characteristic of their job selection behavior both general and unique. The migrant worker group used to be studied as a homogeneous group by the traditional research methods, thus it is of a great significance to investigate the job selection behavior of the new-generation migrant workers and the influencing factors of it.Based on the theory of rational choice perspective, and applying normative empirical sociological research methods, the study collect data mainly by questionnaire method, and assisted by literature method and case interview. The study selected Changsha, Zhuzhou, Loudi which cities in Hunan province as the objects of our research, randomly selected 240 new-generation migrant workers as sample. Based on the investigation of the current situation of the new-generation migrant workers systematically, this study discuss the influence degree which human capital, social capital, concepts of job hunting, employment environment work on career opportunities, career choices and career adaptation respectively, and then put forward some suggestions correspondingly.The results of this study show that:Firstly, the job selection behavior of new-generation migrant workers shows irrational in different degree at present stage, specifically weak recognition ability of employment opportunity, blind of the career choice and difficult to adapt their jobs; Secondly, the age, work experience, vocational training and work ability of the new-generation of migrant workers has a significant influence on their job selection behavior; Thirdly, the scale of social network, heterogeneity, the node of social status, the relationship strength and type of the new-generation migrant workers has a significant influence on their job selection behavior; Fourthly, The view of job selection cost, career development, occupational prestige and rewards of the new-generation migrant workers has a significant influence on their job selection behavior; Fifthly, policy environment (which including job training, employment assistance, social security, public services, household registration) and market environment (which composed by the number and structure of market demand, the fairness of employment market,) of the new-generation migrant workers has a significant influence on their job selection behavior. Based on the empirical study, this study put forward some corresponding suggestions:At first, the new-generation migrant workers should be guided to form a correct concept of career choice; the second is to enhance the human capital of new-generation migrant workers; the third is to reconstruct and develop the social capital of the new-generation migrant workers; the last but not the least, to enhance the employment environment, in order to provide an institutional guarantee for the new-generation migrant workers'rational career choice.
