As a key link for human resource management, performance management is not only a control tool to achieve strategy object but also a tool to systematize firms'function. For Chinese firms, particularly mediam-sized and small firms, to establish a scientific and feasible performance management system is an important source to improve core competiveness and make them develop sustainabley and healthily.In the paper, performance status and existing problems in BJ Company, taken as the object of study, are fully and systematically analyzed. The main problems are defects of key performance index design, short appraisal period, single appraisal body, lacking of sustainable communication and improvement, not full use of appraisal results. Based on the analysis, using relative theories of performance management, performance appraisal indicator system is designed. Accordingly performance management system more suitable for reality of BJ Company is established, comprising performance schedule, performance implementation and management, performance appraisal, performance feedback and improvement and application of performance results. Finally, presented are some advice on how to increase efficiency of performance management in BJ Company, improve employees'performance and promote fulfillment of its strategy. |
