| Since the opening-up and reform of China, its economy has kept developing at high speed and the living standard of its people has been constantly improved. With the arrival of economic globalization and leisure time, Commercial and Recreational Street, the result of the development of Business Street at its advanced level, has come into existence. Commercial and Recreational Street will be a venue encompassing a wide range of services for city-dwellers and tourists, such as leisure, shopping, entertainment, consumption. The development of Commercial and Recreational Street would be pushed to its climax through the interactive way of developing commerce and tourism, which requires commerce to lead tourism on one hand, and make tourism promote commerce on the other. With the continuous development of Commercial and Recreational Street, its space structure has undergone a constant alteration. The influence factors, which triggered the constant alteration of the space structure has facilitated the constant evolution of the functions of Commercial and Recreational Street. So, it is of great significance both in theory and practice to conduct researches on the motivation mechanism of the evolution of the space structure of Commercial and Recreational Street.This paper has given a clear definition of Commercial and Recreational Street after collating, categorizing and summarizing relative documents home and abroad. Starting from Commercial and Recreational Street and taking as the object the motivation mechanism of the evolution of its space structure, as well as based on relative theories and conclusions, this paper conducted further researches.The article begins with a review on the history of retail trade, considering the absence of research resources of Commercial and Recreational Street, and then, explains the evolution process of the space structure of Commercial and Recreational Street as well as its interactive development relationship with the space of cities. Based on the work above and the review on a comprehensive and inclusive collection of reference, the main part of the research has summed up the interior motivating factors and exterior pushing factors and proposed the model of motivation mechanism of the evolution of the space structure of Tourist and Leisure Street. Then, taking the commercial and recreational streets in Hangzhou as the case, this study find out that the level of economic development, the standard of people's living and the standard of city's infrastructure are the three most important motivation factors that influence the evolution of space structure of Commercial Recreational Street in Hangzhou. At last, based on the analysis of the existing problems of Tourist and Leisure Streets, the research has put forward some measures for optimizing in term of the following four aspects: social space of the city, traffic system of the city, commercial system of the city block, the system of public infrastructure, aiming to provide some theory evidence and practice guidance for the development of Commercial and Recreational Street in China. |
