The Study On The Economic Effects Of The Aging Of Population In Guangxi

The 21 century will witness the aging of population the world.The changing of age frame is influencing all the aspects of social lives abroad.All the countries in the world are more and more focusing on this serious topic.Guangxi is facing the aging phenomenon at the background of low level of productivity and economy,which will cause big changes on economy and social development.This paper according to the relevant theories of Economics,application statistics method with substantial evidence data,analyzes the actuality,characteristics and trend of Guangxi population aging,study mostly the impacts on labor supply, Old-age social security, the savings and the industry structure, and put forward the correlative policy suggestion on the foundation.Basic conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)The actuality,characteristics and trend of Guangxi province population aging are:high speed;large amount;serious empty nest rate;lopsided distribution of senior citizens;high dependency ratio;the population of Guangxi will age more quickly from now to 2030;the nmber of children declines fast;to the year 2030,the share of 65-year old people and older will reach 17.94%.Guangxi becomes one of higher degree of popolation aging regions,but in this period,the total dependency falls gradually,Guangxi shoule grasp opportunity to develop its economy.(2)In the coming 10 years,the number of labor force will not decline,and Guangxi will have a sufficient labor supply,but the age structure of the internal labor force tends to aging.(3)The current old-age social security system in Guangxi very imperfect, it maintains the social stability and the development of the aging industrial, so Guangxi should continuously improve the old security system to deal with the impact of population aging.(4)The flexibility of the change of Guangxi working-age population's proportion on savings rate is higher than that of elderly population.The population aging caused by the change of population age structure will cut down the number of working-age population,then affects the savings rates.Before the serious stage of population aging comes,Guangxi should turn the savings to investment to speed up the economy development.(5) Population aging will bring great impact on industry structure, but also it is a great opportunities to the development of aging industry, so Guangxi should promote aging industry as much as possible.
