Research On Linkage Mode Of The Port Group In Three Gorges Reservoir Area

As a global transportation service node, the port is increasingly becoming the center which logistics, business flow, capital flow and information flow together in. competition among the international ports is more severe than before, which forces ports to carry out market operation. The use of information technology is making port operation more efficiently. This series of changes that maximization of port scale, internationalization of port corporation, privatization of port operation and scientific modernization of port management make port competition more intensely.Since it joined WTO, China participates in the international market competition more broadly and deeply. Rapid growth of home and abroad trade volume exploits tremendous space for port industry. But with port scale's expanding, ports development appear many phenomenon, such as different levels, identical positioning, function repeating, and hinterland cross and so on. To some extent, it forms disordered competition among ports, which is very disadvantaged for long-term development of regional ports and economy. In the long run, to adapt increasingly fierce international market competition, port building not only simply relies on scale development, but should form into groups of ports in certain areas to realize internal and external linkage development, particularly ports within groups. Advantages complementation among ports can avoid vicious competition, exert group effect furthest, and improve interregional overall vitality and competitiveness.Basing on the thought of collaborative management and theory of port competition and cooperation, combining with the reality of the port group in Three Gorges Reservoir Area, the linkage mode and realization mechanism of port group's integration are put forward highly from the view of the strategy. First, the concept, conditions and types of port group linkage are summarized as a basis. Then, from strategy linkage, information linkage and operation linkage of port group three aspects, the linkage modes of internal ports of port group are discussed. After that, taking the port group in Three Gorges Reservoir Area as an example, the key constraints and reality bases of its linking development are analyzed. At last, combining the previous research on modes with the reality of the port group in Three Gorges Reservoir Area, its linkage modes which are the strategy linkage mode of integrated group of Chongqing port, the information linkage mode of group centralization of Chongqing port and the customer-oriented operation linkage mode of Chongqing port group are targeted put forward. Their content, objectives and characteristics are described and the realization mechanism is researched.This paper tries hard to solve the practically existing problems of collaborative management in port groups through researching on linkage mode and realization mechanism. It aims at enhancing port groups'overall competitiveness, driving development of ports in Chongqing and logistics industry in Yangtze upstream region, forming scale effect of port logistics service, and achieving leaping development of regional economy ultimately.
