Research On The Evaluation Of Logistics Park's Competitiveness

With the rapid development of logistics park in our country, there also exist some problems such as the logistics park's national location lacks of integrated planning, many logistics park have been started to construction but without enough preliminary research, the logistics park usually pursues the scale but neglects itself operations and management. The result is that the logistics park's operating performance is not well. With more and more logistics park joined in the battle for capturing logistics market, the competition among them will be more intense. As an important infrastructure in logistics industry, how to improve the logistics park's competitiveness is an urgent subject which needs to study now.Through drawing on the studies on competitiveness both home and abroad, this paper gives a scientific definition to the competitiveness of logistics park, analyzes the relevant characteristics and discusses the influence factors from five aspects of infrastructure, operation management, location condition, government policies and regional economy. Then according to the competitiveness features of the logistics park, this paper builds a competitiveness model from three aspects which are competition effectiveness, competition capacity and competition potency, and specifies the model to an evaluation system of logistics park competitiveness which includes 13 indexes. In order to test the evaluation system's scientific feasibility, this paper uses the factor analysis to make an empirical analysis on 11 selected logistics park by investigating a large number of logistics park's data. At the end of this paper, some suggestions are given about how to enhance the logistics park's competitiveness from the government and the park's manager.
