Research Of The FDI Status And Regional FDI Determinants Of Huainan City

Since reform and opening-up start, foreign investments have entered into China gradually. The Chinese make use of foreign investments, particularly foreign direct investment (FDI), which have witnessed 20 years of initial development. As in 2005 China joined the WTO, foreign investments have increased as never before and unprecedented growth of FDI has been seen in China. However, foreign investment in China is uneven and the development of China's FDI is unequal which shows the characteristics of leaning to the southeast coastal region, the sharp drop from the east to the Midwest. As China's economic development, improvement of investment environment in central and western regions, the gradual opening of the Midwest in recent years and national preferential policies related to the introduction of foreign investment, which show a tendency that foreign investment transfer from economics-intensive southeast coastal areas to the central and western areas. Huainan, the central city, of FDI received preliminary development under this situation.In respect of promoting the development of industries and services and living standards, FDI play an important role in Huainan City which is gradually obvious day after day. As one relatively backward development of economics of typical energy-cities, Huainan in respect of investment location decisions and economic-development structure and others has both universal and unique. Research on scenarios and problems comes out in the process of Huainan introduction and use of FDI and proposing the solutions to this problem, which makes an important policy-reference sense in the use of FDI, improving the level of Huainan economic development and the development of central region Cities with less developed energy. AS it's located in China's in interior and the development of its economics relatively backward compared to coastal areas, the total FDI of Huainan is very poor and is developing slowly. As a result of China's accession to WTO and policies to encourage foreign investment in the central and western areas of China, Huainan of FDI has gained a rapid development. Because of its later development and insufficient development, there are a lot of problems exist in FDI of Huainan. This Paper analyzes the country (region) competitive advantage theory and the theory of a successful case-the use of national competitive advantage theory, the city has attracted foreign investment in economic development and have achieved fruitful results. As the adjacent city of Huainan city, the city economic development and enhance the successful experience of foreign capital utilization and specific practices can provide a reference for the Huainan city. Eclectic theory of international production and then according to the investment position of the choice theory summed up the impact factors of FDI location choice reflects several key specific aspects of FDI in recent years in Huainan City to collect the data, through calculation and analysis, the total FDI in different years of longitudinal contrast, and the same year the FDI share of industry in the three horizontal contrast of the status of the development of FDI in Huainan City. Then from the induction of FDI location choice factors that several specific aspects, combined with the actual situation in Huainan City, in-depth analysis of FDI in Huainan City, using the favorable location factors and the development process in Huainan City, FDI is still a problem, learn from the development of Hefei absorption and utilization of foreign investment in the economy and the experience and specific measures, and the location choice of investment within the framework of theory, combined with the actual situation of Huainan, Huainan FDI propose solutions to real problems and improve the development level of FDI in Huainan City, a concrete plan. This is the idea of writing this article. In the content structure, the main contents of this paper is divided into three parts. The first section describes the country (region) competitive advantage theory and analysis of Hefei in the utilization of foreign capital for economic development and improve the level of experience and success of specific practices, the second part, the use of eclectic theory of international production and the regional advantage of general FDI location choice and Analysis of the status of FDI in Huainan City, the third part, analyses of the favorable factors of FDI, and the still problems in the use of FDI in Huainan City and raising the policy strategies on rising the using level of FDI in Huainan City.Meanwhile, the international research on FDI and the theory of FDI has been very mature and comprehensive. Domestic research on the eastern coastal cities, the west representative cities'investment regional determinants and the development of FDI has also been quite good. However, domestic research on unique typical energy central cities of less developed (such as Huainan) is still relatively less. if this study can make an appropriate theory supplement to the use and development in domestic of FDI of central energy urban with less development, which will be the greatest significance of the writing, and also I will feel proud.
