This thesis firstly introduces the product features of LED industry and LED industry chain. Then it introduces LED's developments, market scale and future trend in China and overseas. Furthermore, this thesis deeply discusses the development characteristics of burgeoning industry life cycle's every stage, which is guided by Industry Life Cycle Theory, and then it concludes that LED industry be now in rapidly developing stage. At the same time it also finds that the impetus of LED industry comes from the high level applications. In this process, the improvement of technology is the key power.In the end, this thesis systematically analyzes the inside and outside environment of Chinese LED industry through Michael Porter's Five Forces Model. Upstream and midstream of Chinese LED industry keep strong profit ability because their powerful position in the industry chain. Then the thesis evaluates the investment value of LED's Upstream and midstream through Capital Budget Theory, and provides some suggestion of investment in LED industry.
