Brand is the embodiment of the competitiveness of a country, a city or a business. The present era, the core value of the brand is self evident. China is a manufacturing country, and also is a brand weak. The market competitiveness of Chinese brands does not keep up with the China's status in the world tradition. Thus, we must face the fact: to develop the Chinese economy and improve the international competitiveness of China must implement brand strategy and create more independent brands and international brands. As the Government, especially Shanghai local government, how to play its role to promote the brand strategy to promote industrial restructuring and to promote the economic development healthy and sustainable? It is the theoretical and practical significance of the research of the policy of promotion of shanghai famous brand strategy.In China, the government should not only promote the brand strategy in a strategic planning guidance, but also in a operational systems. As same as the discussion of the research of China's initial socialist market economy system, how to promote Shanghai's brand strategy need constantly explore and practice. Through in-depth distribution and analysis of public management theory, combined with the current situation of the promotion of Shanghai famous brand strategy, we research the Shanghai government's policy measures to promote brand strategy with the Government's practice at home and abroad. In the end, we want to define the functions in the border of the Government in promoting the brand strategy, format a effective policy system to promote brand strategy, create a sound brand strategy for the environment, in order to provide advice and reference for better promote the scientific development of Shanghai's economy.
