The vitality of the scientific and technological enterprise, a kind of typical knowledge-based organization is to create new knowledge by using existing knowledge, and knowledge sharing is an important part of knowledge innovation. Currently, explicit knowledge sharing is successful in scientific and technological enterprises, while tacit knowledge sharing is difficult. In the field of tacit knowledge sharing, academics have largely focused on the qualitative and theoretical analysis of the mechanism and measures. Because of the lack of effective operational tools, practice performs poorly.As a collection of relationship, social network provides an important channel for tacit knowledge sharing among network members. Therefore, this article introduces social network to tacit knowledge sharing within the scientific and technological enterprise, constructs the process model of tacit knowledge sharing, explores the influence of social network elements on tacit knowledge sharing and proposes the ideal network structure conducive to the sharing of tacit knowledge within the scientific and technological enterprise. Meanwhile, from the two perspectives of theory and application, this paper presents the specific use of social network analysis in promoting tacit knowledge sharing within the scientific and technological enterprise.By proposing two modes, three levels and four phases in the sharing of tacit knowledge, this paper constructs the process model of tacit knowledge sharing.By analyzing the influence of social network elements on tacit knowledge sharing within the scientific and technological enterprise, we conclude that: for small-scale scientific and technological enterprises, the most appropriate network of tacit knowledge sharing is the dense network with strong ties, wide range and moderate centrality; while for large-scale scientific and technological enterprises, the most appropriate network is one with moderate centrality and composed of holes and bridges.From the perspective of application, this paper introduces the procedures of social network analysis. Through theoretical analysis and case studies, we find that: through social network analysis, we can analyze the situation of tacit knowledge sharing in the levels of whole network, cohesive subgroups and individual quantitatively; with the combination of attribute data and quantitative data, we also can understand the reasons for the formation in order to take relevant measures to promote the evolution of tacit knowledge sharing network to the ideal network structure.
