The Study Of Industry Strategy For Dual Economic Structure Of Guizhou Province

It is an important issue that the developing countries and regions need to face and solve dual economic structure. Compared with the national average, dual economic structure in Guizhou Province is more evident, such as the gap between agriculture and non-agriculture sector, the difference of income and consumption between urban district and rural area; the imbalance of development in different regions. Compared dual economic structure with the developed provinces, there are many problems in agriculture and industry of Guizhou Province, and the serious problem in dual economic structure in Guizhou Province is the transfer and employment for agriculture labor. This research is devoted to give some suggestions about the industrial development policy, and also to promote the dual economic structure transformation. This paper is divided into five parts, the main ideas and contents are as followed:Chapter I is Introduction. This part describes the significance, main ideas, innovations, and so on.Chapter II is Theory. This part mainly summarizes the changes of dual economic theory, and presents the main theoretical basis for this paper that is the lewis- lanis- fei model. The current domestic research includes the research direction and main ideas about a dual economic structure transformation of China. It also includes the research summary of Guizhou. Meanwhile, the scope of this research has been defined specifically on dual economic in this chapter.Chapter III is the descriptions and analysis of the dual economic structure in Guizhou. This part will use the specific indicators to measure the strength of the dual economic structure in Guizhou province, and conclude the trend of the developing and changes in intensity. Furthermore, comparing with the conversion of the classic dual economy model and the actual situation in Guizhou, it will make a judgment on the transformation of the dual economic structure in Guizhou, and also point out the main problems in this transformation in Guizhou.Chapter IV analyzes the conversion factors. From the view of economic development and industrial theory, this chapter will identify the main factors that impact the conversion, such as the low total economy; lack of capital accumulation; the lagging agriculture; heavy industrial structure; low level of marketing and efficiency of resource allocation. Improving and developing these factors will help to promote the dual economic structure in Guizhou province.Chapter V is countermeasures. Development Economics on the dual economic structure transformation of the success cases has a good summary of experience. Moreover, from the industrial economy's point of view, these successful cases included some important industry strategies. Combined with these successful cases and good reference, the paper proposed three industry strategies as follow: first, accelerating the development of agricultural industrialization, developing the ecological agriculture and specialty agriculture, promoting the transferring of agriculture labor force; secondly, advancing the industrial structure, promoting agricultural development, increasing the employment levels; thirdly, focusing on tourism, speeding up the tertiary industry promoting economic restructuring. This chapter aims for making recommendations for the economic development of Guizhou.This paper will use the theory of development economics and industrial economics. And also it comparing with the status and data of Guizhou province. Because of the restrictions of knowledge and lack of more practical researches, the paper is needed for much more revising, and it will also be my goal to further study and efforts.
