The Intellectual Property Management Of Industry-academy Cooperation In Taiwan

Industry-academy cooperation is collaboration among schools, researches and institutions. The first chapter explicitly defines industry-academy cooperation and the intellectual property management, introduces the importance of industry-academy cooperation, and the relevance with intellectual property management.In the second part of this paper, it analyzed the provisions of protecting creation, the provisions of protecting technological innovation, the provisions of maintaining trading order. "Copyright Act", "Patent Act", "the Plant Variety and Plant Seed Act", "Integrated Circuit Layout Protection Act", "Trademark Act", "Trade Secrets Act", and"Fair Trade Act"in Taiwan are included.In the third chapter, it introduced the regulations concerning the industry-academy cooperation in Taiwan. The regulations are not all formulated by"the Legislative Yuan". Some are promulgated by"the Executive Yuan","the Ministry of Education of the Executive Yuan","the Council of Agriculture of the Executive Yuan", or"the Science Council of the Executive Yuan".In order to get a better understanding of industry-academy cooperation, it described the actual industry-academy cooperation of " Taiwan University", "Taiwan University of Science and Technology", "Southern Taiwan University", "Industrial Technology Research Institute" and TECO in the fourth chapter.Finally, it briefly introduced the current situations of industry-academy cooperation in mainland China, reviewed those in Taiwan, and recommended those in mainland China.
