Compared with small project, Construction project always has additional characteristics such as huge amount of investment, long construction period, strong integrity, quite a few enterprises involved in construction project and complex management environment of internal and external. As a result, quite a few engineering's change will be caused during the long construction period. It will be a long time from the investment decision-making to the completion final accounts of construction project. During the long period, It is believed that the mainly reason is the engineering change which results in schedule delay and cost overruns of the construction project. So How to manage the engineering change is attached highly importance to. But just realizing this is not enough because it will be late when the engineering change is happened. The better way is how to manage the construction project and the risk control of project change. In the article, I will give you a predictable, dynamic and comprehensive analysis for the risk control with more efficiency toward the three phases including project design, project bidding and project implementation phase based on the relative theory about project risk control and my experience. Thus, dispute that Occurred in the all phase of construction is reduced and project is implemented more smoothly, furthermore, cost is controlled effectively and Investment Benefit of fixed assets is improved.Now socialist market economy is established and improved continuously. After accession to WTO, we have to face the challenges in project management reform in China. If we want continuant development in Engineering consulting industry and Project Supervision industry, we have to learn knowledge about project management and enhance the level of management ourselves. It is necessary that we have to learn advanced abroad management experience so that we can explore a way to make it more efficient to manage the engineering change in line with China's national conditions and the status quo of construction. Thus, we will have a better way to control the project cost and lower the risk of contract management and improve the benefit of fixed assets also. Moreover, it helps us to manage project design, project bidding, contract and project construction more efficient. In this article I give it a try how to apply the method in risk control field in the process of managing the engineering change from the construction owner of view. Thus the construction schedule, the validity and the maneuverability of the construction project are ensured. I summarize the characteristic of the method and application so that the method can provide a reference for those who are processing engineering change.The theory and technology about engineering change management in China will be developed with the development of science and technology and improved with the improvement of management in construction. Great changes about engineering change management will happen with the improvement of the construction technology. The research of the method about engineering change management in construction project will never stop.
