Research On Development Approach Of Postal Logistics In Serving "Three Rural Issues"

Issues concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers(hereinafter referred to as "three rural issues")have long been an unavoidable and call for great attention due to the fact that they will affect the social harmony and stability and the final realization of a well-off society in an all-round way as well as the development agricultural economy.China Post has many unique advantages in serving the "three rural issues"-the physical network covering rural and urban areas, rising transport capacity, tight organization, well-grounded management, strong grass-roots implementation and so on. From2005 to 2009, the central government has written the Postal Service "three rural issues" into the Document No.1 for five consecutive years. It provided a very favorable policy support for the postal enterprises involving in the rural market. However, the postal logistics still has some problems in the process of serving agriculture, rural areas and farmers.Therefore, this article described the current situation of Postal Logistics in Serving "three rural issues", summed up the problems and deficiencies at this stage, and then using modern logistics theory to propose development approach of postal logistics in serving "three rural issues".
