With the deep development of market economy and the arrival of the era of knowledge economy, more emphasis is put on knowledge staff. In fact, knowledge staff is now becoming the key factor of the management and operation of companies. In some sense, knowledge staff is changing into the main body of the talents that every company calls for.Through the analysis of relevant literature, we find that job involvement has something to do with work performance, and so is human resource flexibility. Therefore, we have a further study on the relationship of human resource flexibility, job involvement and work performance, so we can understand how human resource flexibility affects knowledge staff's behavior and their work performance. Through analyzing the relationship between job involvement and work performance, it can provide us with the theoretical guidance and appropriate countermeasures to strengthen HRM and work performance of knowledge staff.In this paper, human resource flexibility, job involvement and work performance are the objects for the study. We work out the study assumptions and hypothetical models based on China's actual situation and the theory and literature at home and abroad related to the research. Through a questionnaire survey, by use of SPSS statistical software to analyze the data for inquiring the relationship among human resources flexibility, job involvement and work performance. Results are as follows.Firstly, functional flexibility, payment flexibility and working-time flexibility have obvious effect on work performance.Secondly, knowledge staff's job involvement has a positive effect on their work performance. That is to say the more amount of job involvement is devoted, the higher level of work performance we would get.Thirdly, it also proved that different gender, age, marital status, education, department and position in current company can existent difference degrees of difference for human resource flexibility, job involvement and work performance.Finally, job involvement plays an intermediary role of the process in which human resource flexibility produces an effect on work performance of the knowledge staff.Based on the above study and combined with the analysis and discussions of the practice in China, this paper gives some useful suggestions on paying attention to working design, establishing salary Payment system based on individual performance and profit-sharing, cultivating a people-oriented management concept, minding "home" cultural construction and career planning. Creating conditions for the staff to achieve their ideal and implementing flexible working hour's system etc.
