Since the 1980's, Tourism competitiveness has become a hot topic. most Scholars have focused on national tourism competitiveness, regional tourism competitiveness and urban tourism competitiveness, but the competitiveness of scenic areas have not been related to Research, therefore the competitiveness of scenic theory is not mature, especially there are more gaps in actual application. In this paper, I select eight mountain-based tourism areas in Henan Province as the study objects, from the competitive,performance,environment,competitiveness and potential of competitive,I establish system of evaluation, the indicator datas come from statistics, surveys and judges scoring.Then the paper evaluates the eight of tourist attractions by the use of principal component analysis,and obtaines index scores of the eight tourist attractions,which has found the competitiveness situation and existing problems of the eight scenic spots,and accordingly the study puts forward the strategy to enhance the competitiveness of the scenic spots.This paper is been divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, it primarily focuses on the research background, research value, domestic and foreign research situation and framework for this article.Chapter II is related concepts and theories,which explains the competitiveness concept of mountain-based tourism area, such as the mountain-based tourism area competitiveness, competitive advantage, etc, and explores the tourist attractions of the mountain-based competitive factors.Chapter III develops the tourist areas of the mountain-based competitiveness evaluation index system based on previous research,then it introducts the target data source means and the principle of principal component analysis method.Chapter IV evaluates the competitiveness of tourist attractions of the eight mountain-based tourism areas in Henan according to the collected datas. Respectively obtaines the competitiveness scores of competitive performance, competitive environment, competition, potential, and bit order. ChapterV Proposes some measures to. enhance competitiveness of mountain-based tourism areas in Henan,mainly from the resources, planning, management and brandChapter VI is conclusion, it proposes the Conclusion of this paper and the field of study that are needed to improve.
