Hot blast stove is an important equipment in the blast furnace production process, improving air temperature is the main objective of producing hot blast stove, air temperature has a great effect upon the production costs, quality, and energy consumption, in addition, the oxygen-rich blast furnace, humidification, and PCI capacity will be affected, air temperature for the blast furnace production makes great significance, blast furnace stove control system design and research is an important approach to improve the thermal efficiency of hot blast stove.The topic from Ningbo Steel 1# 2500m3 blast furnace stove control system, the project has run steadily for two years since it put into production. The main work and achievements of this paper are as follows:1. Books, journal articles and e-sources related to this topic were consulted, and the useful information was organized, analysed and developed into three parts:production process of control system for hot blast stove, control challenge and common control strategies.2. Aimed at the requirements of EIC integration for the blast furnace process system, the basic automation control system is designed by using all of the same Siemens S7-400 series PLC, the advantages of this system include solving the multi-system, multi-model co-existence of the problem and simplifying the network structure.3. In order to ensure the hot blast stove control system run reliably, continuously and safely, hardware-based two-plane hot standby redundant system will be designed according to the continuous features of the blast furnace production by using event synchronization mechanism associated with hardware, software and communications etc.4. Aimed at the optimal control problem of combustion process, this essay analyses the characteristics of hot blast stove combustion process and divides the traditional hot air furnace heating period into three parts:heating period, heat storage period and heating period and the period between regenerator critical periods. Then, this essay formulates appropriate control strategies for each heating section and conducts an independent rule table of fuzzy control. Finally, staging fuzzy controller will be given.5. Summary and prospects for further study will be given in the final.
