With the accelerated pace of industrial restructuring, as the lower value-added,shoe industry is confronted with industrial transformation and upgrade stage,and needs a large number of designer with Innovative awareness and ability.But footwear design education starts late in Chinese universities, especially the foundation course.These courses continue to use the the traditional teaching methods,such as "indoctrination type","skilled type".But these methods suppress the creativity of students , assimilate personality,and fall behind the needs of industry. Therefore Reforming the teaching methods about foundation course of footwear design becomes necessary in universities. Based on the the existing foundation course and teaching methods,this paper introduces the teaching theories and models from foreign country,and tries to explore new teaching methods from a new perspective.First ,on the basis of investigation and analysis about training of footwear design professionals,status of foundation course setting,this paper tries to propose a new thinking about foundation course setting,defines the "three sections" of foundation course,such as modeling foundation courses,forms foundation courses and shoes cultural courses,and defines the specific object of study.Second,this paper introduces CPS theory,tries to combine it to teaching activities of foundation courses,forms a new,specific,actionable teaching method pattern and the teaching methods which take innovative teaching as the core,changes the classroom situation of students passive acceptance, passive understanding.Finally,on the basis of the theoretical construct, In this paper, author analyses the experiments and the results achieved about three main foundation courses under the guidance of the new teaching methods,and illustrates the feasibility and practicality of the new teaching methods by an example.provides the reference to teacher in teaching foundation course, guides and helps students to achieve the purpose of creative innovation.
