With the continuous development of the mining industry and the increasing proportion of lean ore, ore crushing capacity is growing. Gravel material has been more widely used in roads, bridges, buildings and other industrial,. The cone crusher is an important part of the crushing segments. For the design of cone crusher, the crushing force is necessary based on the structure and strength of the crusher.Firstly, based on the physical and mechanical properties of materials, the process of single particle under squeeze crushing was obtained by using the rock crushing process analysis software. With the information of single particle,two particles, three particles breakage, the process and force of inter-particle breakage was calculated by reference Hertz theory. Assuming all locations in crushing cave form a strong force chain, this is the worst case when the crusher is working, and that is the case of the maximum crushing force. The force at that case was analyzed and put this force as standard when design cone crusher and analysis other forces.Secondly, main parameters of cone crusher were introduced systematically, and classified the parameters accordance with whether it can be controlled. The influence of crushing force by properties of materials, particle size distribution, eccentric speed, cave style, compression ratio, height of pivot point was analyzed. The influence of crushing force by eccentric speed was detail studied.Again, put the main spindle and mantle as a whole, all force on it were analyzed. The driving force of revolution which provide by eccentric sleeve was studied. The equilibrium equations were built through treating. Inertial force as a virtual force based D’Alembert principle. Forces can’t be analyzed were calculated by using the equilibrium equations.Finally, point out that the unbalance of cone crusher was caused by the inertial force of main spindle and eccentric sleeve. After analyzing the inertial forces, a method was proposed to resolve balance problem, and the mass and orientation of balance block were calculated.
