An advanced control system is introduced in the article, which is used for managing the sintering furnace to process super hard material.According to the flaws of existing control systems and the merits of the same kind of oversea product, a special control system for sintering furnace is designed.In control algorithm, some advanced PID control algorithms were discussed. Based on the characteristics of the system that is a long delay and uncertain system model, and combining relay auto-tuning with fuzzy auto-tuning, the paper discusses a new control algorithm of PID which is a fuzzy PID control algorithm based on relay auto-tuning. At the same time, the control algorithm is simulated through PROTEL and MATLAB.For the shortages of home existing system, we use LCD for display screen. Hence, processing parameters can be displayed in the table and processing curves can be displayed dynamically. So the system provides friendly interface for users.Many effective methods are adopted in the hardware circuit and software design, which include multilevel filter with hardware circuit, filter with software, photoelectric Isolation, and modularization design in software. The control accuracy and reliability of the system are improved with these methods.
