Due to consumer' shifting their demand towards small batch and large category, the cigarette distributed by distribution center has increasing rapidly in terms of both category and quantity. The sorting process takes larger and larger proportion in the distribution center work, which is becoming the most labor and time-taken process. The efficiency of order-picking task tends to take a direct effect on the efficiency of the whole task, economic benefits and service level. So the cigarette design of sorting system is very important in each tache of distribution center, its cost accounts for 40% of the whole logistics cost and it is the core of the design of the distribution center.Firstly, the paper anatomizes each tache of distribution center, such as sorting unit, sort mode, sorting strategy and sorting equipment, by means of the analytic method of logistics system. However, in the early period of planning, decision-makers tended to rely on their own experience because of the lack of effective and quantitative analysis tools. To solve the above question, this paper introduces a kind of planning data analysis method: EIQ analytical method. Summarize EIQ principle based on order-picking data from the system planning of distribution center, and analyze the EQ/EN/IQ/IK/EIQ statistic charts and their corresponding design schemes. This paper applies EIQ analysis way in process of order-picking data from some cigarette distribution center and designs an effective automatic sorting system scheme. In order to validate the feasibility of the scheme, the author builds a modeling of the sorting system using Petri-net. Then do the simulation of sorting system of the distribution center by dint of Flexsim software. According to the result of there dimensions simulation, the "bottle-neck" phenomenon is discovered. Many measures which can eliminate this phenomenon are brought forward, and provide the improved plan and the decision support for the terminal. Lastly, the paper designs the PLC controlling system of the sorting system, and designs the field monitoring system by using industrial controlling configuration software WinCC. The automated sorting system of cigarette distribution center has remedied the existing defect of the mode of sorting system, and improved the efficiency of the homework. It has reduced workers' labor intensity. As an advanced model of picking system, it realizes cigarette distribution with exact, fast and reasonable.
