Taurine is an essential non-protein amino acids which freely exists in the organs of people and most mammalian.It is an important nutrient having high medicinal value,and is widely used in the fields of medicine,food additives,detergents,fluorescent whitening agent,PH buffer areas and so on.it can also be used as biochemical reagents and other organic synthesis intermediate.So it is a promising development of fine chemicals.The mission is to design a computer program which based on an annual production capacity of 300 ton of materials and heat balance process.Working day is 300 days each year,the production cycle is eight hours,each batch of production is 333.33kg.According to material balance,each batch of feed required Triethanolamine 182.0774kg,toluene 996.5kg,hydrochloric acid of 30%355.8967kg,thionyl chloride 351.6123kg,30% sodium sulfite solution of 1225.5 kg.The heat balance of reduction process was calculated and computer program was designed basing on the material and heat balance.The autoclave reactor and the main attachment of this process was designed.Meanwhile the mixing device,gear,seal installations and equipment was selected and designed.Finally the workshop was designed.
