Ultra-high-rise building is the product of social and economic development, and it built quickly in the city CBD especially in the last ten years. This building to solve the contradiction between the urban population increased and land scarcity, to set up the image of the city, location sign play an irreplaceable advantage. Ultra-high-rise building built continual and it causes the building industry a new round of reform and innovation, all sorts of new technology, new material and new modeling, new theory caused. It far influence to the city life, living concept, the city skyline, the city view and even urban planning system.Ultra-high-rise building in the rapid development and change the city at the same time, but they will exist some problems more or less in our country, because of the construction too fast. Firstly, The effect of ultra-high-rise building's height and elevation to the surrounding city and urban landscape is large, if not handled properly, not only affected the harmony of the city skyline effective, but cause adverse psychological effects to the crowd activities near it. Secondly, for the present level of structure and the limitations of the common, core of ultra-high-rise building is too large and practical internal functions of the problem. This lead to a lot of space wasted. Finally, the security problems have been evacuated from the development of the major problem of ultra-high-rise building. Because of it's height is too high and increase the evacuation distance and time, and it's hard to extinguish the fire by the fire protection system of ground when it's on fire. Our country haven't the code for fire protection against ultra-high-rise building at present, If the height is more than 250m,it will have to been research and argumentation by national fire protection departments. It's relative lack of objectivity and regularity.This article based on some key points of the design of tall building as the main research object, the Pearl River new town J1-1 plot ultra-high-rise building as the main case studies. Through the comparison between it's scheme before and after, and the neighboring ultra-high-rise building, discussion the design problems. This article mainly discusses the problems encountered in the process of ultra-high-rise complexes design like:function space layout, the core tube design, outer sheath system design, and safe evacuation. Through theoretical research and examples comparison method find out the most effective way to solve the problem reasonable. Meanwhile, through solving these problems summarized the effective design method and theory, and provides a mentality and the beneficial reference for the future domestic same type ultra-high-rise building design.
