As the modern highway transportation characterized with high speed, high traffic density, heavy load and channelized traffic, the technology of asphalt pavement have been changed greatly and many methods had been developed to improve the performance of asphalt pavement, such as the Superpave?, the technology of modified asphalt, the SMA ,etc.. Among them, the fiber strengthened asphalt pavement is a successful alternative both domestically and overseas. It is expectative because of both its eminent performance and simple construction technology, and its economical preponderance.Through the test of the six fibers and three gradations, the asphalt mixture of different combination, this paper analyses the fibers influence on the pavement performance, expatiates the strengthening mechanism of the fiber asphalt concrete pavement with theory of composite material and the interfacial chemistry. Through the Marshall test of fibers-reinforced asphalt mixture, this paper also concludes the law of the Marshall test. and further on, offers the Marshall design method of fiber-strengthened asphalt mixture. On the other hand, based on the test-road construction of fibers-reinforced asphalt mixture, the thesis puts forward the construction technology.The fiber-reinforced asphalt concrete pavement is worthy to popularize because of its excellent properties, favorable economic and social benefits.
