As microelectronics innovates and develops continuously, the application of embedded systems are widening increasingly. This paper has discussed the way to carry out intelligent design by using embedded PC 104 in the launch and control apparatus.The paper first gives a brief description on the origin and background of the topic and proposes the overall scheme for designing the system. And then it describes in detail, concerning both the hardware and software. Hardware design is my main job in the effort and it is also the focal point in the paper.Through understanding PC 104 module, the paper discusses how to use the module and it has set forth in detail the programmable technology and CPLD devices .At last, the paper has made analysis on the complete system concerning five aspects: environmental adaptability, safety, electromagnetic compatibility, reliability and maintainability. It has explained how these design rules are considered and realized in the system.The application of embedded system in the launch and control system makes the system intelligent and autonomous and enables the system design more normalized, miniature, modular and standard.
