The changeover of modern design ideas led to a revolution in aircraft design. System effectiveness and life cycle costs of aircraft were focused more than the capability. To meet more and more the demands of safety, scheduled service, economy and comfort, commercial aircraft manufacturers do more and more work on the reliability and maintainability in aircraft design and manufacturing.In China, the study and application of reliability and maintainability in aircraft design are just at the begining. It is a difficulty in commercial aircraft design for the lack of basic data.The reliability and maintainability quantitative requirements for an advanced regional jet were studied in this thesis. The reliability model for the aircraft was built and the allocation to systems was performed. The results are employed in the advanced regional jet design. |
