With the rapid development of communication technology, especially wireless communication technology, the field of communication applications makes unceasing extension. The wireless terminal of vehicle navigation system is one of these applications. It consists of GPS, GIS and wireless communication technology. And it's widely used in traffic, navigation, vehicle location and so on. So we need to enhance the research and development for the embedded software in wireless terminal. These researches and developments will accelerate the development of products and provide more and better embedded products.This thesis mainly discusses the design and development of the embedded software in wireless terminal. Firstly, it analyzes the hardware and software architecture of wireless terminal. Secondly, it introduces the embedded operatingsystem-uCLinux and explains why we select uCLinux as our embedded operatingsystem. Thirdly, it presents the graphical user interface (GUI)-MiniX, includingthe function, the theory and API. MiniX realizes the subset of X11 protocol on uCLinux. Fourthly, it shows the analysis and design for the component of embedded application. Finally, it evaluates the analysis and design of embedded software and makes a summary. It also prospects the future research at last. |
