With the high-speed development of electrical technology, marine electrical propulsion has been applied widely in varieties of ships. But the development of the monitoring and protect instruments is slow comparatively. According to technology of the marine electrical propulsion, the marine electrical propulsion monitoring system was established by C8051F020 and sensors measurement, made up of three parts such as parameters measurement part, the signal processing part and the LCD display part.In the parameters measurement part, the design is mainly made up of three parts such as sensors select, sensors circuit designs, experiment measurement. And sensors circuit designs involved magnify circuit design, filter circuits design and hardware reliability instruments design.In the processing and calculating part, A/D conversion part of C8051F020 was applied to process the signals into the single chip. The signals were then sent to PC through the series communication. The work is mainly involved three parts such as hardware design, software design and coordinating the debugging of the hardware and software system. Based on the localization of the A/D part, I/O ports were extended and sample time was matched.The design of LCD display part is made of four parts such as LCD select, hardware design, software design and LCD debugging. The motor parameters such as temperature, current, voltage, power etc. can be displayed by LCD in real time.It indicates that the experiment result is available and practicable, can be applied in real ship system.
