Tailings dam is a special geotechnical engineering, it is soimportant in the fundamental construction in our country. The instabilityof tailings dam will cause huge disaster, the construction of tailings damhas been under highlight. Tailings dam is widely adopted at home andabroad because of locally-produced raw materials and simpleconstruction. China is one of the countries in the world whoseearthquake disasters are very serious. The key to the stability of tailingsdam is the credible internal experimental researches of physicalmechanical properties of mineral tailings. The internal experimentalresearches of physical mechanical properties of mineral tailings havehigh academic significance and social economic benefits. In this paper,based on practical tailings dam project, intensive experiments wereconducted on tailings, and the EFESD program written by ShenZhujiang has been used to analyze and calculate the dynamic ability oftailings dam.In the research on physical mechanical properties of mineraltailings, physical mechanical properties of each filling of tailings hasbeen analyzed, and essence trait of tailings has been found, and the mainfactors which effect the ability of tailings barn have been emphaticallyanalyzed, such as compressibility, strength and penetrability. In the research on dynamic properties of fillings of tailings,through lots of experiments an extensive research has been made, andrelationship of the indexes of tailings have been found. According to theresults of the experiments, the modified measures has been suggested.The EFESD program written by Shen Zhujiang has been used toanalyze and calculate the dynamic ability of tallings dam. The elementsof program and calculation method have been discussed, and through theanalysis, evaluation of ability of the dam has been made. |
