According to the structure style of villages and towns'buildings, the using condition of new wall material and indoor air environment status in hot summer and cold winter areas, this paper analyses the thermal performance of new hollow blocks and energy consumption degree of using the new hollow blocks to construct building, and then put forward measures to improve indoor air environment according to the characteristics of villages and towns'.Along with the comprehensive development of building energy conservation work and the implementation of national wall reform policy,there are many kinds of new wall materials in the market, among which hollow blocks have accounted for the very great proportion. However, the now research work of building energy conservation in our country is mostly concentrated in the city construction and the use of new hollow blocks which are less to the villages and towns'. According to the district characteristics of hot summer and cold winter, this article selects some model villages and towns and takes them as their region's representatives and investigates their scales, structure styles and new wall material service conditions. Investigation also refers to the energy consumption conditions, people's living habits and customs and their environment of present situation. And the concrete condition of the villages and towns'construction and the present situa-tion of energy consumption are summarized. Selects three-row-holes hollow block for the outer wall material and examines its thermal performance as the building's outer wall consists of this material in villages and towns. Analysis concrete quantity of indoor air conditioner and heating energy consumption compares it with traditional solid loam brick, which finally obtains the concrete target of energy conservation.In addition,this article has investigated the indoor air environment of villages and towns'construction in hot summer and cold winter areas, and the result of which indi-cates that the indoor air pollution is extremely serious and it can do great harm to peo-ple's health. This article has also analyzed the indoor air pollution factors of villages and towns'construction and technical methods on how to reduce indoor air pollution and its harm at present in our country. It brings forward two methods, such as"using well water as cold source to resolve high temperature problem in summer"and"using forced draft wall to improve the indoor air environment"according to the characteristics of villages and towns together with tests and simulates to their effect. The ultimateness shows that the effect of improving indoor air environment and energy conservation are good. Cur-rently, our country is vigorously developing some projects such as"energy, soil, water and material conservation"and"the construction of new socialism countryside".This article combines with the characteristics of hot summer and cold winter areas, studies the energy conservation technology of synthesizing utilization new hollow block and put forward the technical ways on how to improve indoor air environment. It is beneficial to the saving of land resources and protect the villages and towns environ-ment.
